Good Afternoon Eek Community:
🐾 Eek School Families: Help Us Build a Culture of Kindness
We are asking families to partner with us in reducing bullying, harassment, hurtful comments, and negative interactions among students, especially in grades 7–12.
Every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and included at school. Please talk with your child about these expectations:
💙 Choose respect: Avoid name-calling, insults, hurtful teasing, and comments about someone’s body, family, culture, or differences. Saying “I was joking” does not erase the impact.
💙 Include others: Invite someone to join, offer encouragement, and avoid encouraging others to exclude or mistreat a classmate.
💙 Pause before posting: Do not spread rumors, share embarrassing pictures, or send hurtful messages. Online actions can affect relationships and learning at school.
💙 Speak up safely: Encourage your child to tell a trusted adult if they experience or witness bullying. Asking for help is a responsible choice.
If your child shares a concern, listen calmly and contact their teacher or the principal privately so we can work together. Please protect students’ privacy by keeping names and incident details out of public comments.
Kindness starts with everyday choices—in our words, our actions, and how we treat one another. Thank you for helping us make Eek School a welcoming place for every student.
