LKSD Board Policy on Absences and Excuses AR 5113

Highlights:
1. Pre-arranged Absences
Written note/phone call must be provided by the parent to excuse the student from school.
Students must meet current semester ASAA and LKSD student activity eligibility standards for their grade level to be approved for a pre-arranged absence.
Absence information must include:
Name of student.
Name of parent/guardian.
Date(s) of absence.
Reason for absence.
This information will be used to determine if a student's absence is excused or unexcused.

3 or more absences (excused/unexcused)-must have involve medical reasons with a doctor's note from a health clinic.
